Connect Instagram
Connect an Instagram account so GizmoSauce can sync media into your widget.
Two common account types
GizmoSauce supports Instagram via a secure account connection. The exact login path depends on your account type:
- Personal accounts: Instagram Login flow.
- Business/Creator accounts: Meta (Facebook) flow—your Instagram must be connected to a Facebook Page and you must have admin access.
Troubleshooting
If you connect successfully but see “No Instagram Business/Creator accounts found”, confirm:
- The Instagram account is Business/Creator
- It’s linked to a Facebook Page
- Your Meta user is an admin on that Page
Then reconnect and try sync again.
Choose the correct login path
GizmoSauce uses a secure account connection for Instagram. The correct flow depends on your account type:
- Personal: login via Instagram.
- Business/Creator: login via Meta (Facebook) and pick the connected Instagram account.
If you’re not sure which you have, check your Instagram settings. Business/Creator accounts typically have insights and business tools enabled.
Business/Creator requirements (the common reason accounts are “missing”)
For Business/Creator accounts, Meta requires:
- The Instagram account is connected to a Facebook Page.
- Your Meta user has admin access to that Page.
If you connect successfully but see “No Instagram Business/Creator accounts found”, it’s usually one of those two. Fix the Page linkage/admin role, then reconnect and sync again.
Sync behavior (why it loads fast)
Once connected, GizmoSauce syncs posts server-side and stores a cached set of items. Embeds render from the cache, which is faster and more reliable than requesting social APIs from the visitor’s browser.

- Which login path you used (Instagram vs Meta vs TikTok)
- A screenshot of the provider error screen (if any)
- Whether the account is Personal vs Business/Creator
