Connect Threads
Threads widgets require a connected account and sync server-side for reliability.
How Threads sync works
Threads data is fetched via the official Threads API after you connect your account. GizmoSauce stores a cached copy of your feed server-side so embeds load quickly and consistently.
If the connection fails
Common causes:
- Redirect URL not whitelisted in the Meta app settings
- Wrong Threads app credentials in the environment
- Missing required permissions/scopes
Reconnect after updating the app settings.
Threads requires a connected account
Threads widgets use the official Threads API and require a connected account. There is no reliable unauthenticated “handle-based” fetch for a full feed.
Once connected, GizmoSauce stores a cached feed server-side so the embed stays fast and consistent.
Common connection setup issues
If the connection fails, check these provider-side settings:
- Redirect/callback URL is whitelisted.
- Your app is in the correct mode (development vs live) for the users you expect.
- Required permissions/scopes are enabled.
After you update settings in the provider dashboard, reconnect the account in the widget editor.
