Account connection (recommended)
Connect TikTok so GizmoSauce can sync your posts and power native playback in the widget.
If TikTok returns a permissions error, the app may need additional approvals on the TikTok developer dashboard.
Manual URL fallback
If you can’t connect an account yet, some templates can use a manual URL fallback. GizmoSauce will still keep playback native by rendering TikTok embeds safely in a sandboxed strategy (no raw HTML injection).
Account connection (recommended)
TikTok widgets are best when connected to your account. This lets GizmoSauce sync posts server-side and power native playback in the widget.
If you see a “scope not authorized” error, it usually means the user did not approve the requested permissions in the TikTok consent screen. The fastest fix is to reconnect and approve again.
Retrying a failed connection
If TikTok login fails and the editor keeps returning you without prompting:
- Disconnect the TikTok account in the editor (if a partial connection exists)
- Click Connect again
- Approve permissions
Sometimes browsers cache login state aggressively. Try an incognito window if the consent screen won’t reappear.
Manual URL fallback (when account connection isn’t available yet)
If you can’t connect an account yet, some templates support a manual URL fallback. GizmoSauce keeps playback native by rendering TikTok embeds safely (no raw HTML injection into the DOM).
