Recover access to your account via email.
Password reset flow
- Go to /forgot-password.
- Enter your account email.
- Check your inbox for the reset link.
- Set a new password.
If you don’t see the email, check spam/junk and confirm you’re using the same email you signed up with.
Before you start (2 minutes that save hours)
Before you publish anything, clarify:
- Where will this widget live (homepage, pricing page, blog, checkout)?
- Is it inline (inside content) or floating (site-wide, like chat)?
- Does your builder allow custom scripts (or will you need an iframe embed)?
If you’re building for a real business site, set your website URL in /dashboard/settings. It helps GizmoSauce pre-fill it in support requests and keeps your account organized.
End-to-end workflow (from idea → live widget)
If you’re new, the most reliable workflow is:
- Pick a widget in /widgets.
- Click Customize to open the editor (example: /get-widget/google-reviews).
- Configure Content → Layout → Design.
- Click Save & Get Code.
- Paste the snippet into your site builder.
- Publish and verify on the live URL.
Why “live URL”? Many builders sandbox scripts in preview mode for safety. It’s normal for a widget to show in the published page but not in the editor.
Once the widget is live, you can keep iterating in the editor—most updates are picked up automatically without re-pasting the code, as long as the widget ID stays the same.
Launch checklist (desktop + mobile)
After you paste the snippet:
- Hard refresh (Cmd+Shift+R / Ctrl+Shift+R).
- Test desktop and mobile.
- If the widget is floating, confirm it doesn’t cover cookie banners or mobile navigation.
- If you use caching/CDN, purge cache.
If something looks off, use the embed troubleshooting guide: /help/install-and-embed/embed-basics/embed-troubleshooting.
